Myler Disability Social Security Disability Attorney Review from Cranford, New Jersey

One of the hardest things an attorney has to do is give legal advice to a client that does not want to listen to the advice. As hard or uncomfortable as this may be at times, it does not lessen the attorney's duty to be a counselor of the law and to properly inform the client of what the law is and what the consequences of his or her actions may be if they disobey the law. When a client is attempting to commit perjury, a good attorney should always counsel the client to reconsider and to focus on telling the truth, no matter what the consequences of that may be. It is unfortunate that this former client's wife is so upset with us, but be assured that there is a very different side to this story. However, this is not the proper forum to discuss what actually happened. We are happy to discuss this matter further with either the client or his wife, but since being made aware of this online posting, they have not answered our phone calls. They are welcome to call us at 1-800-652-9626.

Myler Disability was suppose to help my husband. Instead it took the case four years to go in front of a judge. The date came we meet the lawyer and she had the biggest attitude and rude! You should have heard the things she was saying to my husband. So we are no longer using myler! When I called main office to tell my husbands case worker what had happen she didn't want to hear it and said she could not discuss the case which is a lie because we are married and he signed papers for them to talk to me.Very disappointed and will never use them again or recommend them to any one!!

Myler Disability - ssd/ssi

This review was left anonymously, so we are unable to verify its authenticity. It appears that this person's claim was approved and they're upset that the SSI benefits were terminated once the SSDI benefits took effect. This is normal, as Social Security isn't going to allow you to draw a check for both SSI and SSDI at the same time. It also appears that this client is upset that the administrative law judge ordered a consultative examination after the hearing. These do delay the processing time of the claim, but here it was obviously helpful because it lead to the case being approved. If this client would like his/her questions answered or concerns addressed, we would love to help out. Give us a call at 1-800-652-9626.

There is a process the you go through filing for ssd. MYLAR was very good for my wifes claim. And you will lose ssi when the ssd claim starts

Myler Disability - Totally inept business practices, waited 2+weeks for packet

This person apparently never became a client of Myler Disability. Because the review is anonymous, we're unable to verify what exactly happened, although we're pretty certain that we can piece together how things transpired based on our company policies and procedures. When a potential client calls in for a consultation, we go through a thorough screening to try and determine the merits of any potential claim with Social Security. If they pass our screening, we send them a “new client” package. This can take take anywhere from several days to two weeks to be received, based on where the person lives in the United States and the current processing times by the U.S. Postal Service. We do call and follow up with prospective clients, but it's highly unlikely that we called 12 times in a 2 week period. On average, we only call 3 times. If more calls than this were being received, it's extremely likely that these people contacted another disability company and were receiving calls from them as well. We simply don't have the time or the man power to make 12 calls to every potential client. Lastly, if calls were received at 7:00 am, we apologize. This is outside of our business hours, so we find it unlikely that these came from our office. If, somehow, they did, we offer a sincere apology. We wish this person the best going forward and if we can help with a future disability claim, we can be reached at 1-800-652-9626.

In 16 days time, we received a total of 12 phone calls from them asking us to fill out and send back their info packet- in which we didn't receive until 2 weeks later. Almost every time the "advocate" called, she always called around 7 am- after she was specifically asked to contact us in the afternoon.

(I guess she feels that since we're not working, we'll answer the phone at any old time!) Even after we cancelled their service, she still called with the message of how she can't help me until she receives the packet back! When I asked them to stop calling, they continued calling anyway!

When answering her email, I forwarded a letter of complaint back, only to receive it back from the server as blocked...! I found its better to contact your local SSDI/SSI office and apply over the phone.

Myler Disability - Good Job

I hired Myler for my disability case and was quite pleased. They stayed in contact with me, always took my calls, and the staff that I dealt with over the phone was always kind and courteous to me. The lawyers assigned to my case was for lack of better words, a Bulldog. He knew what he was doing and was very informed about my case even though we had not met until a half hour before my hearing. I was approved and am now waiting on Social Security to start my benefits. I have read some things on here that place blame on Myler, but I feel if there is any blame to be placed, it should not be on them. You cant just give them your name and say "get it for me". You have to do your part too. Keep them informed with any new medical conditions that arise, new doctor visits, and make sure that they have a complete list of your current and past physicians so that they can do their job to help you. If you want to win your case, have the documents and statements to back up why you cannot work, make the accessible to Myler and let them take it from there. If they dont know everything about your problems, then it is your fault, not theirs.
