Myler Disability's reply to:

Myler Disability - Incompetence

While this client was unhappy with how her hearing went, there's little that our attorney could have done to stop the judge from conducting the hearing in the way he saw fit. The judge had a number of questions that he wanted answered and even though our client had a hard time responding to these questions, they needed to be answered. Fortunately, her case was approved. It's very likely that the difficulty she experienced helped show the judge that she was unable to sustain full time work. Here at Myler Disability, we try hard to prepare our clients for their disability hearing and we stand by their side throughout the entire process.

Myler Disability Attorney
Reason of review
Poor customer service

I hired Myler in 2011 to try to help me get approved for disability due to mental health issues. After we finally get to court in 2014, the judge proceeded to yell at me through the entire session, treating me like a criminal and Myler's attorney did nothing to stop it.

I had to answer rapid fire questioning under so much duress I was literally sobbing in the court room and could not think clearly at all. The attorney sat by and allowed this to continue. Did I get a fair hearing? NO.

Myler's attorney did nothing but sit there. I would have had the SAME outcome WITHOUT Myler. I didn't get proper representation.

I didn't have someone to speak on my behalf, no advocate. I had a lump with a briefcase.

haha!! You are a fraud!

Grow a pair and quit trying to blame your problems on everyone else! So what that the judge yelled at you!!! Do you think the lawyer can actually stop that from happening? You're right in that you would have been yelled at with our without a lawyer there.

But how is that his/her fault?

I have heard about this company and was doing a little research about them. After reading some of these comments, I'm convinced that most of you are whiny people who probably aren't disabled. You are what is wrong with the system.

There are hundreds of thousands of people applying for benefits every year that probably aren't deserving of them. When they lose, they want to blame anyone but themselves.

I wasn't going to hire these guys, but maybe I will now. The bad complaints seem to be baseless and the positive reviews seem to be sincere.

I'm sure I'll have hiccups with them from time to time if this process takes as long as everyone says it does. But that's what happens when you work with someone weekly for 2 years.

Maybe I'll win my case, and maybe I won't. I have supportive doctors (I think) and if I have a representative that is experienced with doing this stuff, I think my chances are pretty good.

I hope you lose your case. there are some people out their that works all their lives.sometimes up to 3 jobs at a time .then all of a sudden bam.your file and bam.they turn you down. there is some of us out there that has earn this.but has to fight for it.then I hired these people.i have had to do all my paper work myself they have done very little to help me.

I now have hired Myler for my disability claim. Im not happy with some of the comments either about them I feel the same way you and some others feel, people lost their cases and now they want to blame someone else.

You suppose to do your own paperwork, you no more about your situation then Myler does. I'm go to stick with them for myself and see what happens.

I no it could be a long battle, I'll see it through to the end, and start over if I have to. Thanks for your post.

I am a 30 year old female. I have Refractory (drug resistant) Epilepsy and I require brain surgery and a service dog.

I am grossly disappointed with Myler Disability and I do not recommend the to represent you. They did not advocate on myself and seemingly know nothing about Disability. My case work was excellent at paper work, but my lawyer was a complete flop. My Social Security case was completely mishandled.

Not only by Myler but the entire system.

I had to get my Congressman involved because I found the actions of the ALJ to me questionable and unethical. My lawyer told me not to involve my Congressman when my first third hearing was cancelled.

Who is the mystical magical Brad Myler?

Has anybody ever spoken to him? If you are truly disabled you are just going to have to advocate for your self. Learn about the PASS program and tax deductions. It's a complicated system, but if you spend the time researching S.S and put Myler in their place you might get somewhere.

My second third hearing is in 2015.

I have a new Judge and a new Lawyer from Myler and I am prepared for any question about anything. I refuse to be a victim.

Only I can keep my head above water.

Wish me luck because only I can make my own path.

These guys took two years of my life. All along I thought they were doing a good job for me. They answered my calls so I thought all was well.

My hearing date arrived and I answered all questions truthfully. The Myler attorney who sat in on the hearing took notes on a legal pad as the judge asked me questions. Hearing over the attorney said I represented myself well.

His last words to me were, "If your case is denied we will refile."

Two months later I receive a letter from Myler telling me about how I should appeal or start a new claim.

I did not realize my case had been denied. So I call my case manager and she tells me they are dropping me as a client. What the heck happened to "We will refile".

Two years of my life I wasted with these people.

I am sure they win some cases to stay in business.

However I would think long and hard before I trusted them with my future.

Haven't used |Myler yet, their not the only one's who act like that. I chose another Diability company.

Before my hearing I asked them is their anything else I could do to support my claim. They said theirs nothing more to do but wait. Which their was something else I could have done, because they didn't accomplish anything. I emailed them crying my heart out about my situation, most of the time they would email back.

Their attorneys for the first hearing, met me at the last minute, and flew by all the details. Then the next hearing I had a female attorney, they switched attorneys without asking me anything. I think you should at least meet with attorneys at least a week or 2 before hearing. Get this the second hearing the judge didn't show.

It was the coldest day ever, but I made it their an hour early, wasted carfare, because he cancelled it to another date, which I asked my lawyer, how much longer it will be before the judge calls another hearing. I think it's unfair that they can not show up and make your case longer than necessary when you already had been waiting 2 years.

|If I didn't show up my case would have been cancelled. Again it was cold as ever below 0, I made it why didn't he.

In 2010 my wife won her s.s disability case. She had to take her case in front of the hearing judge after being denied twice.

My wife had three letters from doctors stating she was disabled and the judge was surprised it had gone this long. On the day of her hearing the Myler attorney showed up just in time. he was completely prepared. He only needed to talk to my wife for a few minutes because he had all of her records.

This mylar attorney new exactly how to talk to the judge and just called out reference numbers to the medical records. The hearing did not last 5 minutes and the judge issued his ruling right then.

All back S.S payments included. Almost everyone gets denied at least once maybe twice.

@ brainsurgery you are exactly right. my wife used them 4 years ago.

She was turned down the first time then appealed it and got a hearing with a hearing officer or judge..

about three or four months later and was fully favorable approved within a years time!

They did a great job and so the people that are against myler disability,,,

***They have an 80% winning percentage!! *** Not to shabby at all...

In all types of litigation, there will always be a winner and a loser. The winners usually walk away happy and the losers usually walk away very upset. It's no different with disability cases. However, here at Myler Disability we have been helping disabled clients receive benefits from Social Security for many years. We're very good at what we do and have tens of thousands of clients who are better off today because of the service we offered them. If you're upset or frustrated with how your case is going, please give us a call at 1-800-652-9626. We'd love to help you out!

We are unable to verify if this is a review from a client we've represented. We just became aware of this obscure website and the reviews that are here, so this is our first opportunity to address this. We had been unaware of any complaint like this, and since it has been 3 ½ years since this was posted, we strongly suspect this was just a person venting their frustration that Social Security isn't able to pay them more in monthly benefits. While we understand the frustration that can come from this, we can't change how much you worked in the past or how much you contributed to Social Security. What we can do is offer you excellent representation. Here, while the person may be upset, we did win the case and got them the benefits they were seeking. If they'd like to discuss this further, we're always happy to talk. Call us at 1-800-652-9626.

The lawyers that were assigned to my husband continued to change every three months and when we finally were able to go in front of a judge. He was not prepared and the judge was extremely angry with him.

He was wasting his time so, he took the judgement out on my husband. He didn't get disability but SSI. You can't live on that... My husband tired to get another attorney to go back to the judge but no other attorney will deal with the situation.

We are getting ready to sue Brad Myler and the attorney that didn't do his job.

The attorney's at Myler will not even return are calls.. So, we are going to file a claim against them in Utah.....

First off disabilty is SSI, SSA is retirement/early retirement and it all depends on what you have made up until your case settles. You should be grateful you got something. :?

2 years ago, I hired Myler Disability for my legal representation for SSI. They are a joke!!

Every month, the changed Case Managers. They wont return phone calls, & when you do reach a Case Manager, they sound like they are reading from a script. I suffer from ptsd, bipolar, depression, I also have hypertension, have had 3 tia's, and I have back & knee problems. The *** attorney that was assigned to my case didnt even contact me until the day before court.

All he told me was that it was dress casual & to be there 30 minutes early. He didnt go over any part of my case. He had not even looked at my case, until we got to court. The judge called us in 5 minutes after we got there, so my genius of an attorney didnt have time to look at it.

He even asked me what my name was. Needless to say, I got denied, so Myler Disability withdrew from my case. I had lost my job, due to my illness, had to stay with friends or family. I was even homeless at one point.

I just hired an attorney that I can call anytime & he will speak to me about my case. Oh & when Myler Disability withdrew, they had the nerve to send me a bill, which I will not pay one dime to them.

How do you have enough money to hire an attorney if you were homeless and lost your job? I hope that they take you to court and press charges against you for your refusing to do the adult thing and pay your bill.

You seem like a lazy person who is too lazy to get a job. You use your disability to not get a job.

You dont have to have money to hire any attorney for a disability case. I have been extremely ill for the past 3 years & have almost died a couple of times.

I am anything but lazy. I started working when I was 14 & have worked my entire life, so you need to ask a few questions about someone, before you start making comments like you did, when you do not have a clue what you are talking about.

I have very similar disabilities and issues. I used mylar, it took 2 years...not myler's fault, that is actually 6 months less than normal for this part of Florida, but they got me SSI and ssdi plus I only filled out forms once or twice.

If you didn't get what you thought was coming talk to your doctor. They have the controlling information the law office just puts it together.

Like did you have a letter from your doctor stating you could not return to the workforce? With your prognosis and diagnosis?

Yes I did have a letter...the attorney they sent did not even go over my case at all. I have since hired a real attorney that I can talk to him instead of 90 different case managers. I am glad that they got something for you, because they certainly did nothing for my case.

You will always be denied the first time. I got denied the first time and 2 years later I still have the same attorney, who knows both judges I have.

As far as time frame in the court, the first one like I said you will be denied and you spend very little time in the court room, the second one you have an hour in court and it is much more detailed and you speak. Don't give up.

your exacly right.

In fact, less that 0.002% ever do. While we want to help those who are unhappy to have a better experience, the truth is that we've helped tens of thousands of clients receive disability and nearly all of them have been very satisfied with the quality of our work. I had the same problem with Brad Myler. They declined waiver fees.

I found a way around them. Contact your local Social Security Office (Disability dept) Tell them you are having problems with the waiver fees and Brad Myler. Ask them if you can file a "right to withdraw representation letter". I am not sure if all states allow this.

But if they do. Just ask them how to do this. Once you do this, verify it has been scanned into their system. You can get a new attorney this way.

But you have a short time to do this! You will also need to let your new attorney know and send them a copy of this letter. Also one needs to go to Brad Myler but I would wait till you get the rest of them sent and verified first. This only allows you to get a new attorney.

It is up to the hearing judge if how much he will allow in fees to be paid to Brad Myler. Hope this helps everyone who is having this issue. I was waiting for 2 years.

By the way, this is standard wait time in most cases, but Brad Myler drags it out so they get more money from all that back pay you are getting from waiting each month. Sad but true....

I am currently through myler disability I have already seen a judge and iam waiting for a response almost 4 months later. I have contacted them but they never return my calls or emails.

And to top it off my lawyer was running late when I had to see the judge. I am begining to think they are a joke.

Your response comes from SS no Brad Myler.

Im nervous because i asked to withdraw my case and their saying they can charge me is that even possible if they havent even won my case

We just became aware of this review and wish we could have addressed this concern with this lady back at the time she wrote it. We try very hard to help our clients get the benefits they deserve. Here, it's likely that there was nothing that could be done with her husband's prior claim, although we would need to have more information before knowing for sure. We work on a contingency basis, so there's no motivation for us to settle for anything less than the very most we can get for you. We're glad we were able to win this case, but wish this person had called us 4 years ago to address these concerns instead of posting them on an obscure website that took us years to find. If any of you reading this have questions about your claim, give us a call at 1-800-652-9626. It took them 3 years to get my husband $156.00 a month but didn't go after the real problem that was to get his Disability case re-opened. The case was turned over to six different attorneys before it went in front of a judge.

They agreed to SSI and didn't discuss with my husband what he was giving up. So, now that we are understanding what SSI is really about we can't get Myler to go back in front of the judge and no other attorney will touch the case. So, if Mr. Brad Myler reads these complaints I just want to let you know that your firm is full of attorneys that don't really care about anyone.

Your company has made it so that my family has been destroyed and that in order for us to survive that I will have to divorce my husband so, he can get help to take care of all his medical bills. ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS YOUR JOB! SO I HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!!!! MR.

How does he only receive $156.00 a month, no one gets that little, it starts @ $850.00 in California

All of the comments on this site make me super nervous! I have a case to try and get disability for my bipolar, depression, anxiety and osteoarthritis which all causes me trouble keeping jobs and now from getting a job at all because I need to focus on getting better and I was hoping Myler could help some of the finacial stress on my family, but I think I have just lost all hope.

I'm afraid of just backing out because I can't afford any fees we are so poor my family and I have to live with my parents. Anyone have any ideas on possibly backing out and of a good disability company I can use?

I will tell you not to worry, I have Myler and I began in 2010 was denied, 2012 went before a judge first time was denied, these steps are standard for your disabilities, but for osteoarthritis 90% of the population has it, so do I, but my back and shoulder are worse than that, as far as your mental disorder focus on that, get all the records you can, see a therapist its important to be proactive doing all you can do to get help. 2014 I am going for my second hearing, it is not the attorney's, SS has all medical doctors in the court room along with a vocational expert to see if you can do the same work you always have or something else, your mental disorder is your strongest disorder

This is the worst company ever. There is nothing but a bunch of young kids running the show.

My attorney met me 15 minutes before my hearing and knew nothing about my case. I have never felt so ripped off in my life. No one ever returns your calls. People who work for this company must not be very smart; they can't even give you the same answer and are always giving you different people to work on your case who don't know what they are doing.

It just a big telemarketing set up trying to rip you off. Then they act like they have well educated people working for you and they don't

Your right!

I worked at Myler for 2 weeks and did not like what I saw. The employees are made up of young employees.

I accepted the position thinking I could help make a difference. I spent one week in training with fast talking trainers. Hard to grasp when trained at high speed!

We are happy to say that at Myler Disability we make great efforts to ensure that our employees are competent, empathetic, and hard working. While from time to time we've had employees leave who have had bitter, untrue comments (such as the one who wrote this review), we take great pride in knowing we have a team of professionals filled with individuals who are doing this for the right reason. They enjoy and find great fulfillment in helping those who are disabled through the disability process. There's something inexplicably rewarding that comes by helping those who are struggling through their time of greatest need. That's why Myler Disability exists. I chose to work here about a year ago when the economy was really, really bad here. It was the only job that I could find.

Right away, I could tell this company did not give a hoot about their employees. Women at the office usually got stuck with more work than their male counterparts, whom the female managers loved to flirt with. I knew as soon as I could find another job, I was out of there.

Because the environment there was so negative in general, the employees that came to work everyday and do the MAJORITY of work on your SS case (and they do not need a college degree) could care less about the client and we would do the bare minimum on your case--we were getting paid $8.50/hr.

We would get the information that we needed, get your medical records and talk to you more than the attorney on your SS case will.

Bottom line: If you win, you will give this law firm 40% of your SS award back pay, and the attorney spent 5 hrs on your case from start to finish. The majority of your case was handled by a 20-year old kid.

Good luck!

I worked here too, and it is the biggest bunch of *** artists I've ever seen. Your case workers will be 18-22 year old kids who have no idea of what they are doing, and have about 2 weeks training.

All that is required to work here is a HS diploma or GED.

You will not talk to a lawyer until you're literally ready to go to court, generally 2 years after starting the process. Avoid these people like the plauge.

Brad Myler rips off his own relatives, including his mother and children. His wife left him when she came to realize what a crook he is.

He also sings in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to complete his facade, using his church to exploit others. He is a curse in the lives of those who know him.

Stay the heck away!

While I agree that Brad is a conartist, I fail to see how his religion has anything to do with this. Please get your head out of your *** before you speak.

My favorite was receiving a call right before my hearing saying we can't help you and then after being placed on hold. Oh forget I called.

Now my denial is full of lies and they had all the paperwork and could have reviewed w/ me and chose not too.

I paid off the bill for medical records and they better not ask for more. I am going to take my denial to a real lawyer to read

Apparently those people that have said miler disability is a great place to work have obviously not worked there very long. I worked there for years only because I couldn't find another job in the economy.

There are a lot of unethical things that on there including employees forging client signatures and the attorneys pretending like it didn't happen. If you are a prospective employee or even a prospective client my suggestion stay away.

The one in American Fork, Utah. You know they hate there jobs. The guy I talked to was so disrespectful to me and I am not even the client

I believe it. they are dishonest and have attitudes.

What have I done here? :(

Wow James is right on. I would love to know if the former myler disability employ or dots have ever worked for a larger law firm?

Also do you know what the owners of companies do? I guess not. I love working here. I wish Brad's TV had any reception to it.

He has it for his computer. but what would I know. I am just a male white employee.

Well best of luck with your pissed off comments. I hope you have fun at your next call center job you get.

Hey, if the lawyer spends 5 hours reviewing the case, we're getting an incredibly good deal! That's ridiculous.

This isn't the Supreme Court. A lawyer could review a disability case in a half hour. Supervisors flirting? A boss who doesn't do the grunt work?

Have you ever worked anywhere else? This is what you'll find anywhere!
